About Our Guitar Materials
Guitar is the most popular instrument in the world for good reason — it is portable, versatile, relatively affordable, and sounds great whether you are playing alone or with others. But the guitar’s popularity also means the internet is flooded with low-quality tabs, incorrect chord diagrams, and misleading tutorial content. Our free guitar library cuts through the noise with materials prepared by professional instructors who actually teach guitar every day.
We provide materials for every type of guitar study: classical guitar with standard notation and proper right-hand technique, acoustic guitar with strumming patterns and fingerpicking, electric guitar with rock, blues, and metal techniques, jazz guitar with chord voicings and improvisation, and bass guitar with groove patterns and walking bass lines.
Beginner Guitar Materials
New guitarists need two things immediately: a set of basic chords they can switch between smoothly, and strumming patterns that sound good with those chords. Our beginner collection starts with the essential open chords — C, G, D, E minor, A minor, A, and E — with large, clear fretboard diagrams showing exact finger placement. Chord transition drills train your fingers to move between specific chord pairs until the changes become automatic.
We include four fundamental strumming patterns that work with almost any song, a guide to reading both standard notation and tablature, and easy songs that use only two or three chords. Once you can strum through a few songs confidently, you will have the motivation to keep practicing every day.

Intermediate Guitar Materials
Intermediate guitarists are ready to expand their chord vocabulary, learn to play melodies and solos, and develop more sophisticated right-hand technique. Our intermediate collection includes barre chord charts showing the moveable shapes that let you play any chord anywhere on the neck, fingerpicking patterns progressing from simple arpeggios to Travis picking and hybrid picking, and pentatonic scale shapes in all five positions — the foundation for rock, blues, and country soloing.
Popular song tabs at this level include full arrangements with intros, verses, choruses, and solos transcribed accurately from the original recordings. We also include rhythm exercises using our Metronome to develop the tight, consistent timing that separates good guitarists from great ones.

Advanced Guitar Materials
Advanced guitarists will find jazz chord voicing charts (drop 2, drop 3, rootless voicings), modal scale applications across the entire fretboard, advanced technique exercises (sweep picking, economy picking, legato), and transcriptions of classic solos. For jazz guitar students, we include ii-V-I lick libraries, chord melody arrangements of standards, and comping rhythm patterns for different jazz styles.

Bass Guitar Materials
Bass players are the backbone of any band, and our bass collection reflects that responsibility. We include groove pattern libraries covering rock, funk, blues, and Latin styles, walking bass line exercises for jazz, slap and pop technique drills, and bass line transcriptions from classic recordings. Knowing how to lock in with a drummer is the most important skill a bassist can develop, and our exercises focus specifically on groove and timing using the Metronome.
